Beachside Lighting started in Hawaii in 1994 with the intent of building a reputable line of quality exterior lighting fixtures, that would withstand corrosive beachside environments using only copper and brass.

Over the years, the lighting components and engineering has been continuously improved. Today, Beachside Lighting provides the best in exterior lighting worldwide.


Tad Trylski

Tad is an experienced lighting designer with over two decades of expertise in both Architectural and Theatre disciplines. He is noted for his work as an educator at the UCL Bartlett in the UK and for his previous role in training at the lighting manufacturer, ERCO. Tad has also served as a workshop head at the Lights in Alingsas festival and as an advisor for the International Association of Lighting Designers (IALD). In addition, he is an award-winning lighting designer with specialized knowledge in lighting control protocols, particularly DALI, where he has experience as both a specifier and a judge for the DALI Awards.


Emma Cogswell

Emma Cogswell is an architectural lighting designer with over 20 years of experience. She has worked internationally as a lighting designer, representing The IALD, and has been involved with training programs and creative initiatives. Emma believes that light has the immense power to transform our lives and advocates for the sensible use of illumination. She specifies solutions that are energy-efficient and makes use of fittings that can be upgraded and recycled. Working with major design practices and manufacturers, she is at the forefront of innovation and trends. Emma often appears in comment pieces in magazines, is an experienced speaker, workshop head, and has served on judging panels in both architectural and lighting design competitions.


Dr Shelley James

Dr Shelley James is an international lighting design consultant specialist in health and well-being, TedX speaker, author and member of the WELL Light Advisory team. She is also a visiting lecturer at UCL Bartlett and the Royal College of Art.

A social media campaign for teens about light during lock-down was translated into three languages and reached over 2.5 million worldwide and her TedX talk was in the top three most-watched in the world in the month after launch. She has written two books and now works with regulators and academics, manufacturers and developers, housing associations, clinicians, teachers and HR professionals all around the world to deliver practical, evidence-based solutions to harness the power of light to create healthy, productive and sustainable places to live and work.


Alexander Cadisch

Xander is the founder of "Light Tribe", an outfit that works with neuroscientists and designers to improve the health and wellbeing of people in the built environment.

He holds the role of Sustainability Director and Chief Technical Officer at Phos Light and has recently published a book on the neuroscience of light and biophilic design titled “The Light Within Us’.

Passionate about the power of light and positive design, he presents his work to design practices, education institutes and government bodies around the world with the aim of positively affecting the habitats in which humans being spend 90% of their time (indoors).


FILIX LIGHTING

Founded in the 1980s, Filix Lighting was concepted as an electrical engineering company at its core. After years of catering to the industries key stakeholders it became the first importer of LED technology to Croatia, working directly with Osram. With the development of LED technology and changes in the industry the company started implementing its engineering knowledge and began the development of its first outdoor and underwater LED lighting solutions.
