Martina Frattura
IALD, Women in Lighting
Martina Frattura, class 2020 of the 40 under forty lighting awards is a PhD candidate at the University of Bologna in Architecture and Design Cultures. She directed “A Beautiful Light” itinerant research spread in ten different countries, which investigated the possibility of replicating the soft-fascination state in the built environments.
She also runs the think-tank “The Beauty Movement”, made of designers, scientists, artists, architects, and philosophers, who seek the fundamental principles and impact of aesthetics.
She is a member of the International Association of Lighting Designers IALD, Women in Lighting, and Fellow at The Centre for Conscious Design.
