Saas Instruments is a family-owned lighting manufacturer from Helsinki, Finland. For us, light is a precious gift from nature and our source of wellbeing. To master light one has to be comfortable with the darkness. We come from a country scarce in resources with a harsh climate. This can be seen and felt in our way of approaching light. Our philosophy is simple: to use traditional materials such as brass, copper, and iron, and make them unique through a process of accelerated oxidation, which we call 'antique'.
Our metals are then enhanced with the combination of local excellence such as Murano glass and Bassano ceramics, creating unique pieces that tell the story of authentic Italian craftsmanship.
Our local production and our attention to design allow us to create unique lighting projects. There are no limits to shape, scale, or material combination that we cannot overcome thanks to our acquired know-how.
