Zafferano operates in three main areas: Tableware, Lighting, and Personalised Projects. Founder and head designer Jan Eickhoff was searching for the perfect lighting solution for a museum showcase project his wife was involved in. BUZZI & BUZZI
The history of Buzzi & Buzzi is a family story. It is a story of dedication, dreams, research, and passion. The intuition of Pietro Buzzi and Marisa Chiari, partners in both life and work, took shape in 1990 when they registered the Buzzi & Buzzi brand, dreaming of a lighting company that would embrace innovation with ambition and confidence. Perhaps they already imagined that one day their sons, Dario and Andrea, would take the company even further, bringing light to the service of design worldwide.
1995 was a significant year. Focusing not only on shapes but on the concept of architectural lighting without placement limits, Buzzi & Buzzi searched for a material that was resistant to thermal shock, fireproof, and decorable. When they couldn’t find it, they created and patented it. This is how Coral® was born, an extremely innovative material that allows light fixtures to be seamlessly integrated into ceiling and wall finishes.
Over the past 20 years, the original dream has taken new directions, with the two brothers leading the way and collaborating with international designers.
