Katia Kolovea

Katia Kolovea is a lighting designer, communication strategist, and passionate advocate for the lighting design profession. As the founder and creative director of ARCHIFOS, a boutique multidisciplinary agency based in London, Katia empowers lighting brands, design studios, and creative teams worldwide to communicate their value with clarity, creativity, and purpose.

Blending design expertise with strategic storytelling, she helps clients elevate their messaging and connect meaningfully with their audiences through immersive experiences, brand positioning, and both digital and real-world campaigns.

Her global collaborations span 15 countries across 4 continents, covering architectural lighting, event and stage design, public art installations, high-end brand activations, content creation, and experiential marketing.

Katia’s work has been recognised with the [d]arc awards and the 40 Under 40 Lighting Design Award. She is an experienced international speaker, regularly invited to share insights on lighting design, light art, strategic communication, and creative strategy at global industry events.

Her leadership in community-focused and educational initiatives includes her roles as founder of the educational platform The Lighting Police, co-founder of the Silhouette Awards and the VLD.community, and core team member of the Women in Lighting movement, reflecting her commitment to mentorship, advocacy, and the advancement of the lighting profession.

Eve Gaut

Eve is the founder of Parrot PR and Marketing, a creative marketing agency working across a range of sectors. A highly motivated, successful and experienced marketing and PR professional, Eve has built up an enviable reputation.

Having worked primarily in the specification industry for more than 15 years, her expertise has been proven in a variety of roles, across numerous disciplines and with leading brands.

As well as leading a dynamic team of other marketing professionals at Parrot PR and Marketing, Eve remains operational and works closely with her clients personally overseeing all activity. She offers consultancy services and training to some of the biggest names in lighting, technology and the specification sector. Eve also runs a mentorship programme, supporting marketing, sales and business development professionals looking to further their career.

In addition to her directorship and day-to-day work at Parrot, Eve is a strong advocate for women in the lighting industry and was recently nominated for a Women in Lighting award. She champions equality across the sector, participating in, speaking at, and promoting industry events and campaigns. Eve oozes passion and creativity and prides herself on bringing fun to her work. Dr Shelley James

Dr Shelley James is an international lighting design consultant specialist in health and well-being, TedX speaker, author and member of the WELL Light Advisory team. She is also a visiting lecturer at UCL Bartlett and the Royal College of Art.

A social media campaign for teens about light during lock-down was translated into three languages and reached over 2.5 million worldwide and her TedX talk was in the top three most-watched in the world in the month after launch. She has written two books and now works with regulators and academics, manufacturers and developers, housing associations, clinicians, teachers and HR professionals all around the world to deliver practical, evidence-based solutions to harness the power of light to create healthy, productive and sustainable places to live and work.


Matt Waring

An NCTJ qualified journalist, Matt Waring is Editor of arc magazine - the world's leading publication for lighting design in architecture.
With a background in journalism that has seen him work across various trade publications, Matt joined Mondiale Publishing as Assistant Editor of arc magazine in 2017, Matt has since risen to the role of Editor. In this position, he leads the publication, sourcing, co-ordinating, writing and editing the creative output for the publication, while also managing the day-to-day activity across its website and various social media accounts. Matt's role also sees him support [d]arc media's events, the [d]arc awards, and [d]arc sessions, liaising with specifiers and hosting panel discussions and awards presentations. Matt also represents arc magazine and [d]arc media at exhibitions and lighting design events and conferences around the world, meeting with clients and designers, and has regularly moderated panels on the myriad aspects of lighting design. Although still relatively new to the world of lighting and lighting design, Matt now considers himself a lighting enthusiast; through his work at arc, he loves nothing more than speaking to designers who are passionate about light and lighting.
